Being part of public art trails and events is a fantastic way to benefit both your practice and career as an artist, through media exposure, valuable contacts, developing your style, learning from others, building your portfolio, and gaining advocates who appreciate your art.

It’s great to be part of something where everyone wins – the sponsor gets recognition, the artist gets paid, the public get free art and the auction raises money for a good cause.

Some of the art trails have literally hundreds of thousands of footfall and knowing that your work has been seen, enjoyed and photographed by so many people is so brilliant. I love my work being out in the open and accessible for everyone and not behind doors hidden in a gallery.

Theres something really exciting about the challenge of transforming these sculptures and giving them a new lease of life. Working on Wild in Art trails is an incredible experience and has introduced me to an incredibly talented pool of artists and the wider community.

Wild in Art, through their consistent emphasis on promoting diversity within artistic excellence, has allowed for numerous creative visions to be made uniquely accessible. Only through projects as ambitious, open minded and quality-led as these, can such a diverse array of visual practises be celebrated and exhibited on such a large public platform.

As an artist who spends a lot of time working to a clients briefs and various genres and styles in various forms of replica, I enjoy working on the Wild in Art trails, working with sponsors and having some fun with the Wild in Art family and sponsors through social media – from starting painting, to the trail reveal and finally the auction. It is great to be part of a public trail and to see people enjoy and take video or photos of my sculptures and share them on social media. I also feel very proud to contribute my work to the charities that the trails represent.
